If you're serious, try this. Sounds crazy, but I swear it works. Mix one part vodka to 3 parts water in a spray bottle. Eliminates odors in the air and musty odors on fabics/furniture. Plus, if you spray enough you'll be in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Professional costumers use this to clean costumes during a show run. They put the mixture in a steamer. It works very well, and keeps the costumers happy.

I discovered Yankee Candles about 20 years ago and still love them. I also peruse Ebay for different hand made/ homemade candles and wax tarts. There are a few sellers on there that I do repeat business with. I got some Archipelago candles a few weeks ago on there for a steal.

I finally broke down and bought a wax warmer. It increases the scent throw from the candle and you don't have to worry about leaving a candle lit.

I like pecan passion by B&BW's. Makes the whole house smell like pecan pie. The body shop and B&BW's have some neat fragrances. I put a drop on my light bulb near the kitchen and it spreads through the house. my oil warmer as well.

I also love the wood wick candles. They smell very good and the sound is wonderful. I love sitting and reading by one of these. I have the Tuberose scent right now and love it....

Circle E candles are my absolut fave. They are quite strong, some say too strong. http://www.circleecandles.com/ They burn a loooooooooooong time and the smells

I love the soy candles by method. They're fairly inexpensive and can be found at Target. My favorite fragrances are Sweetwater and Citrus Cilantro.

I love the Root candles they sell at Fresh Market...hosta is my favorite, but the others scents are grayt too.

Thanks everyone, I have some new options to look for.

I like the reed diffusers also and they are great to use where a burning candle is a problem. I travel with one. I really like the Dockside Breeze scent from Crossroads. Not like the real thing of course but close for us landlocked poor souls.

My SIL picks a different scent for each vacation and then when she gets home she says it brings back wonderful memories of thier trips.
