Fishing in Seagrove in January

We are coming down to enjoy Seagrove this weekend and would like some fishing advice. I have seen some very good info on the board on fishing during the spring and summer but wondered about January/winter.

Can anyone help me out? What kind if fish are biting this time of year in the surf? How about in the lakes (Eastern Lake specifically)? What type of rig and bait(s) seem to work the best?

Any help in advance would be appreciated!!!! :clap_1: Maybe we will run into some of you'll down there this weekend. :idontno:

Get Jimbo (and "Coach") to pick you up at Grayton Beach and take you out into the Gulf. He lives on Eastern Lake right near where Eastern Lake Road dead-ends - easy to find due to the boats and fishing stuff in his yard. In January you'll catch some gorgeous grouper and triggerfish.

We need to do that next time. Always looks like those boats come back full
