Cancerous is a strong word for someone who doesn't attach personal beliefs...And BTW, the Economist is the Time magazine of the business community...And I do profess to watch Fox exclusively...
The Economist is much more than business and isn't littered with ads. I'm not trying to sell it to you. It just is what it is. No frills, no shocks, just solid facts and reporting from experts in every corner of the globe.
Cancerous is a strong word, agreed. And there are strong consequences for getting wrapped up too tightly in opinions of others, especially when they are paid to give them in a entertaining format.
I don't have strong personal beliefs attached to what I get from watching tv is my point, because regardless of the program they are ultimately selling a product. I do have strong beliefs that the public shouldn't take them so seriously. A fine, but important difference.
