general forum.....fires!

I have been reading over there about all the fires.....
How horrible...any new updates??? What the heck is going on????

I know...right? Is it bc it's dry?

My update is this...smokey smell dispersed this afternoon. But, now it is back.

It's very dry - we've been enjoying bright blue days on the beach, but our annual rainfall is like ten inches behind...and today, humidity was only at 22% (which feels AWESOME in SoWal!).

I think Jason Kelly on Channel 7 was trying to explain that the drop in humidity had something to do with it, but I only caught bits and pieces of it. That's the only common denominator that I can think of.

Meanwhile, I'm afraid to walk outside lest my feet rub together and accidentally start a fire.
