They did seem to be a bit more brutal this year than usual. I won't mind that my mailbox won't be stuffed any more with political ads. Frees up plenty of space for all the catalogues that will be coming soon.

My surly "letter carrier" always gripes to me that I get more catalogues than anyone!

I have a stack of about 200 catalogues here. I am making a list to have most of them canceled. I can't even imagine how many trees have died for "things". Here are the worst offenders of changing the cover and duplicating the guts or sending out way too many...Pottery Barn, NM, Horchow, J. Crew, Land's End, L.L. Bean, Bloomingdales.

I missed my catalogs so much after Katrina. Even when they resumed mail delivery in January, they wouldn't deliver catalogs. I miss Horchow.

I'm on my way to the poll now, Miss K. It's KINKY for me too! I know he probaby will lose miserably, but at least I won't be voting for the pretty boy.
