Never listened or paid attention to the woman before, now I know why. I just listened to her speech at the tea party convention and could barely sit through 30 seconds of her speech- sorry I asked. She never caught my attention in the first place so I always ignored her. Now I have a headache. I wanted to give her voice lessons and fix her hair and turn off the video. Even if she had rational issues to agree with, I couldn't stand listening to them. Maybe I am prejudiced and partial to men. She will not be getting my vote for anything. So slap me for asking, call me a dumb bunny, and be on your way

BH, google "Katie Couric Palin interview" and watch a clip or two. Fascinating that so many otherwise smart and reasonable people believe this person should be considered for POTUS.

You really shouldn't laugh so hard when you're posting. It ruins your thought processes. Sarah doesn't have to be elite, and though you misinterpreted my meaning, to be a better politico than most of what we have now. IMO you ain't seen nothin' yet as the old saying goes.So make up your mind, Andy. Is it good to be an elite? It didn't seem like it when your side used this word against Obama. But now you are saying Palin (hang on, I can't see the screen because I am laughing so hard) is the elite?
Mango, you asked why I care about this. I guess I do care but mainly I am intensely interested. Below are a few reasons why-
For starters- I am very interested in subjects related to Speech Communication. I used to teach Public Speaking 101 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. So the fact that we have a former Governor, former VP candidate who takes home $100k for delivering a speech on camera with notes written on her hand is quite remarkable, especially considering that during the speech she is trying to score points by pointing a gifted orator down for using a teleprompter.
I am also interested (fascinated actually) that a movement fed up with how our leaders govern is looking to the person who represents, IMO, the worst of what one of its existing political parties has to offer.
Finally, I'm bored arguing about religion and this subject has seemed to have gotten some juices flowing here.

After listening to that video interview (Couric/Palin) now I not only need aspirin, but pepto bismol as well. As I said before, my first concept of her was correct, but was asking your issues with her because mine weren't based on facts. I can't actually give good
reasons not to vote for her in the future only that my gut instinct says big mistake. First impression- not potus material. I made up
my mind about her from first impression, but was backtracking to consider the facts and overall picture. I like to double check info,
impressions, and get feedback. I also like all sides of a story. I just don't listen to something and accept it as truth, neither do I ignore
something that I may not agree with, I think about what people say. I try to consider things from all angles to arrive at a decision. I
think too much- goes with the territory. I enjoy the ranges of thinking here- quite a range. Thanks for the tip
