Its because chrome directly interfaces with Kurt's robotic brain! 😉

Chrome is very quick, and that is appealing

I'm sort of a middle-of the road, somewhat anti-upgrading kind of computer user. Is there any downside to going to Chrome? Side effects?

you need to download a chrome app for sending a link through your email, and you must say a tearful farewell to firefox. i find it much quicker. ihave not surfed any govt/edu sites with it yet.

Finally switched to Chrome. Doesn't work with all my Realtor stuff but still amazingly fast. One thing I noticed with FF and Chrome. On SoWal, I have to go back to the top of the thread and click on the forum to exit a thread. Or I click on the drop box at the bottom of the back, scroll down to which ever forum and click that. Am I the only one?

Someone mentioned that you cannot do chrome if you do Firefox and I don't find that to be true. I have both installed. Mostly use Firefox. Just tried Chrome on SoWal.com and it is much faster, but I notice that I cannot mouse-over thread titles to preview post like I do on Firefox.

I'm not a huge fan of the way Chrome scrolls, it's sort of clunky compared to Firefox.

I run both.

Correction, mousover preview does work with Chrome. It just takes twice as long as Firefox to show the preview.
