Grandfather turned 99 today!

My papaw turned 100, we had a BIG party and then he passed away about a month later. It was like he hung on for that day.

Cherish the moments and glad yall had a great visit.....

that is so neat - i so miss my papaw. he died 8 yrs ago when he was 76, i was the apple of his eye. your granddaddy looks like a nice man.

Yes, my mother's side of the family has the gift of youthful appearance.
My grandpa brother is in his late 80'sand still has a full head of thick hair and doesn't look a day over 60. He loves the Jamaica Hat too. He is quite the charachter. He would post if he had a puter and could see it he said.
We know we are lucky to have him.

He wanted me to tell ya'll that the bonfire pics were grayt and he loves SoWal. He said it brought back fond memories out at the beach at night with his friends. He was an avid boater and belonged to a beach club till he was about 75. He thought getting dressed up was "da bomb."

Mango you are so lucky to have him in your life still. Both of my grandpa's died when I was a baby, and my grandma's passed away during my teenage years.....................cherish every moment

Here he is Sunday with a couple of his grayt grandsons. as we celebrated his birthday.
He saw pictures of the Soiree and well, he wants to come next time and meet Miss Kitty. God love him, he still has hit wits about him.
