Grayton Kid turns 11 on Sunday!

I had to miss the birthday. :( But did hear that he raked in over $500! I will be talking to him about a loan when I arrive for the birth of his brother.

Am waiting for the word on REAL labor so that I can head south for my two week vacation with GK and his new brother. The family has decided the new baby will come at 3:00 on Wednesday. Rowan and the doctor don't know about this decision however. Will keep y'all posted. Actually due date is Aug 3 but she has been having pains for the last week. I know...that doesn't mean anything. :bang: Now that the birthday is over she can relax and give birth!
PS Did anyone get pictures yesterday???????????????????

I didn't. I missed the Kid's party, but gave him a few birthday wishes from afar. I did see his momma last night though. She looks ready to get the new birthday party started.

They are on their way to the regular doctor's appt right now. She was timing some pretty hard pains last night. I may be leaving work early today! :clap_1: Calm down......it may be another week! (Me talking to me)

Way too much info, Lil' Sis. The new addition will arrive when he is good and ready. Tell steeling1 this is not a dramatic production, but the real thing....LIFE! She knows all about that! We are all anxious for the birth, but hope that #1 will relax a bit. I'm pretty sure she still has lots to do....

Update from the doc appt: NOTHING HAS CHANGED! For those of you who understand baby talk: 1 1/2c, and 60%. That's all I'm saying! :blink:

Yes, it is a myth. Her first (GK) was a week late so they induced labor.

My second labor was faster than my first. Gravity helps alot...walk, walk and walk. I hate when they slap that monitor on and you have to stay in bed.

You're right, it could still be a long time...I went 2 weeks at 2c and 50% before I went into real labor. But I am certainly no expert on this topic. All I know for sure is as much as I love my kids I'm glad I'm past the delivery of them. Good luck mommy. Keep us posted.

I was in labor for 2 hours start to finish with my second! I was at the hospital for less than an hour! I barely had time to walk form the car to the admissions window! :floor:

I was also 2 weeks overdue! It was the quickest I've ever seen people move in the ER!

That is what I am afraid of...that I won't make it to the hospital before the birth. I will be in the room for the delivery if I make it in time.

My friends husband was a stickler for not letting them eat in his new car. They couldn't even use a drive thru for the food. He didn't want it in the car. She delivered her second baby in the car at the entrance of the hospital. ALMOST made it!

Everyone was fine except the car. Funny, he lets them eat in the car all the time now.
