how did you ever guess - these were taken after i peeled the big clumps off. when my hubby mows for the first time he mows twice to keep from getting the big huge clumps. my father in law mowed it with his riding mower, cut it short and left clumps of grass from the mower deck which dog finds every one in the yard and walks thru it !

Be glad Dory only likes to get that stuff on her feet...Kobi likes to eat those fresh clumps of grass. It's kind of gross :puke: and it's like he knows which ones are fresh because he leaves the brown dried up clumps alone! Silly dog.

Your "little" baby is really adorable. You must be just far enough south to have to mow already. Our grass in this area is just barely turning green from the winter!! But I've seen cardinals and robins!

yeah, it was actually up over our ankles in the back yard, probably due to chem lawn already fertilizing, and the dog fertilizing daily.

no, she is not spoiled. we are just lucky she lets us live here with her!

we're lucky, she doesn't eat grass. her favorite delicacy is kleenex, toilet paper or dryer sheets. and they pretty much come out the same way they go in. one year she was staying with mom and pop and she found his little box of rubber bands he saves from the newspaper and ate them. mom had her out pooping and she called me and said oh my god dory has got worms. upon closer inspection after pop got home, he discovered it was rubber bands !

Butter has green feet right now, too. We have had rain on 34 of the past 36 days in Northern CA, but hasn't slowed The Butter down. On the one sunny day, he romped through freshly mown grounds and frolicked in all the puddles. Came home with green feet, but with a good attitude. With all the rain, his owners are getting a wee bit grumpy. I am looking forward to a week of sunshine and balmy temps at Grayton at the end of April.

Have you ever had a stretch of rainy weather like this year, Donna? It always looks like your part of California is going to wash away lately!

ummmm no - she doesn't travel well, she is gonna be 8 now and pretty set in her routines. she will be going to mom and pops where she gets mcdonalds, arby's, and grandpa grills her weinies and steak and burgers. she eats better than we do !
