Loud music girl is back!

I am in the school library, where there are lots of people trying to get work done. There is a girl sitting across the room, and I can hear the music coming from her headphones. :bang:

Last semester I ran into her here every day, and every day I asked her [nicely] if she'd turn her music down so as not to distract those of us working on homework. (Or posting on SoWal and thus avoiding homework all together. )

Every time I asked, she told me, "I didn't turn it up this loud. Someone had it like this before I got here."

Ummm.... okay? It's still possible to turn the volume down, right? :idontno:

Should I mention something again? Ask the librarian to intervene? Or should I just bring my own headphones and block out her noise?

Bobby J's former signature line was something along the lines of, you can't stop waves from crashing, but you can learn to ride them.

Maybe you should ask her to play some music that you, too, enjoy, since you are stuck having to listen to her headset. :idontno:

The guy that sits next to me in Poli Sci does that before class.

I just insert my own earbuds and rock out to my instrumental and choir music. Maybe someone'll discover how cool I am through hearing my music (too bad mine are designed not to allow sounds in or out of my ears).

My favourite is when someone's walking through campus listening to music on headphones and singing (usually rapping) as their wandering around alone.

It makes me wanna get into step with them and sing along. WE COULD SO MAKE IT A MUSICAL!!!

Okay okay, I need to stop watching Rent like I'm an addict.

i vote for the librarian route. if you can hear her, so can everyone else. if you say something to the librarian, she will do something about it and now loud music girl is on notice.

Marching band has gotten the best of both of us. I think Mr. Armstrong actually stole a bit of our souls.

The librarian has been a friend of my family's for years. I was chatting with her later and mentioned loud music girl to her. She told me she'd go talk to the girl, as mine was not the only complaint.

i suggest some noise blocking headphones if the librarian's talk doesn't curb the problem...bose has some fantastic ones, they aren't cheap, but them babies do work !
