Labor Day is a celebration of the end of summer, and also a time to relax and take time off from WORK! Many will be working - hoping you will get a day off the next day at least!

Wishing everyone a happy, safe, relaxing day.

Here is a Labor Day history lesson from history.com:

Observed on the first Monday in September, Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. Labor Day also symbolizes the end of summer for many Americans, and is celebrated with parties, parades and athletic events.

Answer to your questions.

1. Stay home. Out of traffic, out of crowds and out of mind. The beach is 50 yards away.
2. Leftovers. Bar B Que Boston Butt, potato salad and baked beans.
3. My daily "retired" uniform. Tee shirt, shorts and baseball cap, and outdoors, sun glasses.

I'm with you Andy. HOME is the place to be. But we may go out to the beach for sunset.

Sorry Alicia! But we do need The Herald/Beach Breeze so we appreciate you all.

Burgers.

White clothes will be packed away.

I usually wear blue jeans or black. And I certainly own no white shoes so, I won't need to worry.
