[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]Hello, I am Cathy S Johnson and I am running for Supervisor with Choctawhatchee River, Soil & Water Conservation District. I have been a supervisor since March, 2001 and have served as chairperson since June, 2005. I have been dealing in agriculture since moving to Walton County in 1991.[/SIZE][/FONT] [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3] [/SIZE][/FONT] [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]Our biggest challenge is providing assistance to farmers and landowners with problems related to soil and water conservation, as changes in the economy and in land use occur in Walton County. We provide quality technical and professional assistance to landowners with soil and water conservation concerns when requested. In addition we promote USDA programs which help finance the installation of natural resource conservation practices.[/SIZE][/FONT] [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3] [/SIZE][/FONT] [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]I would like to ask that you vote for me in the November 4th election so I may continue working towards better conservation in Walton County.[/SIZE][/FONT]
