Help Philippa Dress Up for Homecoming Week

I know this sounds like the goofiest thing ever, but Philippa goes to a Catholic high school where they wear uniforms. Except during Homecoming Week. Each day of the week has a theme and the kids go over the top with the costumes. This is serious business!! Even the seniors, who you would think would be totally jaded about something like this, love it. Do you want to brainstorm with Philippa and me? Here's the list we were sent:

Dress-Up Day Themes:

Monday: Biblical Character day. Examples: shepherds, wise men, kings, etc.

Tuesday: Space/Alien Day. Examples: Star Wars, Star Trek, Men in Black, etc.

Wednesday: Disney Day: Aladdin, Shrek, any other Disney movie or member of Disney family

Thursday: Safari Day: animals, hunters photographers, Steve Irwin, etc.

Friday: Cathedral Spirit day, Walk-a-thon classes wear the following colors: Senior class, BLUE

This is what Philippa's come up with so far: Biblical Day, dress as Judith and carry the head of St. John the Baptist around. Wednesday, dress as Bambi.

You can see why I'm asking for some ideas.

Wow. I am stumped. I remember this time last year I was asking everyone for Halloween costume ideas. I can't remember one of them- I'm terrible at this!

I guess she can't go as Eve on Monday, huh?:floor: Sorry, couldn't resist. It's the only Bible gal that immediately came to mind.

I bet I could ask Kate for ideas and she'd help. A four year old might be a very good source of information for this kind of thing.

First thing I think of for Monday is Delilah. She'd get the chance to look alluring, and she can carry scissors to complete the costume!

That's a great idea! Much more appealing than Judith.

Brainstorming...she can carry a handful of hair, i.e. cut-up wig, etc., too.

Tuesday seems like the hardest one. I would imagine every girl will dress up as Princess Leah etc.
Did your daughter ever watched Star Trek? Lots of female charachters to pull from that.

I am surprised you didn't suggest "The Little Mermaid" for Disney charachters;-)

Ah, Safari Day. I wonder how many boys are going to go as Steve Irwin with a stinger stuck in his chest.

Yep, hysterical  It was called Thumb Wars, and there was a spoof where she was tied up to that big fat green monster (can't remember his name)

She could get them from Cinnabon and glue them to a hairband.
THAT would be funny.:funn:

That might actually be doable. I'm headed to the airport in five minutes to pick up Merman and there's one in the concourse...nah, the kid would kill me for sure if I came home with one of them...disown me for sure.

Yep, that is why I suggested Star Trek. I would choose Seven of Nine, but T'Pol (Vulcan) from Enterprise would be cool too. Get a set of pointy ears:funn:

Best Star Wars spoof short of Spaceballs, I think...

BTW, Spaceballs didn't have the honey buns. Maybe you're thinking of the Friends episode, The One with the Princess Leia fantasy? Rachel holds buns up to her ears..

PS. I want this hat..
