miss kitty, i went to bed this morning when i got home from work and slept all day, so will probably be up lurking on the board about 3 am, give me a shout out if you are up and posting ! i hate sleeping all day on the monday i start me week off, my sleep schedule will be messed up all week now. and yes, i have no life before anyone even brings it up :lol:

Kitty loves the fishmonger!!! Congrats on your sleeping totals!!! I woke up and say it was three am and thought of you, but was able to go back for some more... :sleeping: 's!!! How much meat are you buying??? Like a whole side of beef???

It is "take the dogs to the groomer' day. I have never had dogs that had to be coiffed in any way, but before I take the clippers to them and hack their hair to pieces, I think I will let a pro do it first. They grow ALOT of hair between their pads and toes, and it gets matted, plus tracks mud and everything else in the house. If they see me holding a bowl of water, they run the other way. I also don't know what to do with their face hair, since they have the same hairy faces as Audie's dog. I'm going to suggest a "reverse hunt clip" if it is possible- hair on legs and underside cut very short (so I can wipe them dry), and leave hair on the topline. They are going to look stupid, but I'm desperate!

Oh jdarg...that is so FUNNy!!! I love the part about running from the bowl of water! Molly just stands at the door and will not come in to her towel! I have to grab her and carry her to the sink! And then, I end up with more water on me than her!! Why do dogs love mud?

Shelties have hairy legs and feet- so what do you do if she is really dirty? Or do you have her legs and feet clipped?

No...just wash and go. In the summer, I used to have Missy clipped. I couldn't stand seeing all that long fur in the heat! It makes them look like puppies again!

i feel your pain with each and every hairy dog problem !!! times ten ! dory gets a major haircut every april before she goes to stay with the gparents while we are on vacation. i cut her down to about 1 1/2 inches and keep her clipped all summer. she gets her last cut in august, and between then and april her hair grows about 6-8 inches. i get her groomed every month or so so they can cut her nails, shave around her butt etc. the groomer doesn't want to tackle the major haircut and i can't say i blame her so i do that myself. it always looks like a dog exploded in the back yard when i get done. :funn: and i truly believe she goes thru the mud because she knows it will get a reaction out of daddy - she doesn't do it so bad with me.

Oh yes, he loves it!!! The chicken breasts were so juicy and delicious!!!

meat loaf and corn on the cob are 2 of our favorites, the mr also likes to cook chili soup on it.
