Me too ktsc...but I will be passing through tomorrow night! I was thinking of stopping there and spending the night. How far is Dothan from Grayton?

From what I can tell on map quest...about 2 hours. BUT don't quote me on that, maps can sometimes confuse me. :shock:

If traffic isn't a factor, 2 hours is a very good guesstimate.

Nice folks in Dothan. But Joe is right, I think Dothan is at most two hours from Grayton. Stop in Dothan for coffee and then pedal to the metal....

I am driving over Friday to Atlanta to join up with my best friend. and her twin 15 year olds (Kaiboo is happy about this!)..and driving Friday night for about 4 hours...stopping in a town to spend the night and driving on in to SoWal Sat. mornin'. Coffee in Dothan is what I had in mind....;-)

Alright, now that we are making more packing confessions....I bring a coofee maker! I have yet to rent a place that doesn't have a broken-down-basket-hanging-by-a-thread Mr. Coffee. We happen to have an extra Krups in it's own box- so it goes right in the car! And since I am accused of making coffee that is strong enough to grow major chest hair, any complaining pansies can make their own dam watery coffee in the rental house coffee pot. Everybody's happy! So there!😀

I am almost to that point.

i had the avalanche packed so full the tailgate would barely shut. we were afraid to open it because everything was gonna burst forth at us !

Jdarg...I LOVE strong coffee...the stronger the better!!!:clap_1: I am packing all my kitchen stuff in one of those BIG blue plastic containers! One large cooler, 2 beach chairs and now I have no room for anything else...😱 So, I am off to Uhaul to buy a roof pouch...at least I can put soft stuff in it...towels and luggage :idontno:

If you are a slow driver, 4 hours from Atlanta is around Ponce de Leon -- only 45 minutes more to SoWal.

I am no slow driver 😀 .....We may make it in one night...but we have no where to stay...will have to find a hotel...no way can we descend on anyone with 2 adults and 5 teenagers! Cheap hotels are not to be found in SoWal or Destin :blink:

Kt, sorry I am just now getting around to answering you. I have been BUSY!!! Anyway, Dothan is about 5 hours from me. I am assuming you will be coming down I-65. What day are you leaving on? You will probably be coming through Huntsville if you are traveling I-65. Maybe you will need a rest break when you get to H'ville. Give me details and I will send you my #'s and perhaps meet you if you want to stop off of I-65 for a rest!!!!

Just wonder how close you are to Dothan, AL. Looks like I'll be heading that way in about 9 days!! Passing through on my way to the beach! :clap_1:
