Seacrestkristi - All of the political pundits say that there is no way Hillary can win the nomination unless the super delegates go her way. Do you think they are right?

Thanks Margarita and hnooe! I actually heard from a super sweet sowaller the very next day! A little love goes such a long way. It made my day. I really do think Hillary has a deep love for this country. I don't know what will happen though. All I can do is pray and volunteer.

Here in Texas Obama managed to close a big gap in about three weeks. I'd have to go back and see how much behind he was starting out. It was amazing to me that the Obama campaign was able to come within 2 or 3 points of winning the popular vote. (caucuses and delegate count went to Obama)

You have to admit that the Clintons had a strong base here and have for years from which to campaign. Nothing wrong with that! It just makes Obama's gains in this region more notable.

The Clintons were sweating it out here and feeling the need to get down and dirty. That was a sign that Obama was cutting into their lead with some serious numbers.

Obama supporters that I know in Texas were very encouraged at how well he did. I know it was much better than I expected going in. :D

edit: btw ... I'm backing Obama. ;)

Sorry that's another thread. A Hillary win is a Hillary win. I think there are plenty of 'Obama' threads on this board. Since you brought it up though, what did all your Obama supporter friends say about Obama's preacher who he loves so much and refuses to 'disown', saying, " God Damn America!" ? What do they say about him acting 'too good' to run with Hillary? Oh all that's probably been rationalized on some thread somewhere on here. I'm sure the Clinton's have been blamed for all his beliefs some how somewhere on this board. Just a guess. :idontno: Give me a break. Nevermind, I'll give myself a break. The truth is being revealed all on its own.

The one's I've spoken to so far, were disappointed in Rev Wright's inflammatory political comments but don't hold Obama responsible for them.
They figure these comments were dug up from archives as a tactic to try to make people think this is how Obama thinks. The Rev may be on target with some of what he has said over the years, but whoever is trying to make it Obama's thinking is just playing dirty politics as usual.

I do think in the end it has opened a door for Obama. His candid speech in regard's to his pastor allowed him to address much more than I think he would have otherwise. So in the end I am hoping it has served to help Obama. ;-)

I can't imagine that the Wright controversary will serve Obama well in any way, shape or form.

Welcome back, now update us on who landed more delegates in Texas and the resulting totals after you factor in Wyoming?

I can't wait for PA. I'm thinking it will be a very big night for Hil.
This Rev. Wright mess is huge and rightly so.
Obama supported him for 20 years just by being there and he still hasn't condemned him.
Talk about buyers remorse.
No way for him to win now.
If he gets the nod he will go down like McGovern.

Can someone explain to me why it is better for the primaries not to be a winner take all affair? I don't like the rationing, especially since the general election is winner take all. If the Dems were winner take all like the Repubs, do we know who would be winning?

Everyone knows she will pull more delegates out of Pennsylvania. And so...? She can't catch him...

The quick answer that came to mind is that a winner take all system gave us W. Not sure anyone wants to repeat that.
