Hot..Hot...Hot!

Yep, its supposed to hit 96-98 today and tomorrow. HOT in the sun.
We are surrounded by lakes, so we were swimming in that yesterday and boating. There's a motor boat lake and nice little restaurants you can pull into for a snack. We 're thinking waterpark too maybe tomorrow. Nephew off from camp. Love waterparks :wub:

Today is going to be 95 and sunny! I'll take it! We've had so much rain and cloudy weather this summer. We'll spend the day staying cool at the pool. And we'll definetly hit the local water park this week. It's always good to go when it's really hot since the water is always sooooo cold there. Is it this hot everywhere? What are you doing to keep cool?

Same here. Pool, pool and more pool! Yesterday at 9:15 am it was already 88 and today is stacking up to be the same. We dipped Cammifunn in spf 50 several times and plopped him in his baby float with the canopy and he was in baby boy heaven! Floating around with a big ol' grin on that sweet baby face. :wub: Today it's the pool again.

it is already 85 degrees here, i am not venturing outside until i leave for work about 5:45 pm or so. audie don't like the heat !

It feels like the pavement is blowing heat right up on you.
I'm staying inside until I have to go out. There is no break in the city. :(

A scorcher here, too. We're taking our kayaks to our friends' house tonight. They live on a small lake that used to be a quarry decades ago before it was flooded. It's spring-fed and the water is nice and cool. I need a good paddle and swim!

Hope you have a good A/C unit. The humidity is so bad still at 9:30 pm, could arely breathe outside. :shock: and its usually about 5 degrees warmer in the city from where I am.

it's hibernating time at my house. wish we would have several wet, rainy, stormy days... we're dryer than I can ever remember!!! but we are getting a few black clouds with a threat of a storm (giving some relief from the heat) but it always turns the other way and takes the rain up to Ohio I do believe!

When we left upstate NY, it had rained for weeks, it was cold, and then there were the tent caterpillars which ate our oak canopy in the backyard, dropping "fras" all over us. I'll take hot here in Memphis any time over the weather we endured this spring.

It was unbelievably cold in upstate NY in mid-June--my college had its graduation on June 11th--and I was dressed for winter under my academic gown. I forgot to wear gloves--and I froze. People (parents) were seeking out hot tea and coffee (my college had outdoor graduations)--I never want to go thru that again!!

Dang, newyorker, that's hard for us here in Texas to believe! It's 9:00 here and still 98. I think on June 11, it was probably a balmy 95! 😀
