Here are some photos I took from the Crab Trap. The water has breached the small berm in a few places, so it is starting to come under the boardwalk there. The photo with the house is at Destiny By The Sea.

Texas, Our Texas
Texas, Our Texas! all hail the mighty State!
Texas, Our Texas! so wonderful so great!
Boldest and grandest, withstanding ev'ry test
O Empire wide and glorious, you stand supremely blest.
[CHORUS]
God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong,
That you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long.
God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong,
That you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long.
Texas, O Texas! your freeborn single star,
Sends out its radiance to nations near and far,
Emblem of Freedom! it set our hearts aglow,
With thoughts of San Jacinto and glorious Alamo. [to chorus] Texas, dear Texas! from tyrant grip now free,
Shines forth in splendor, your star of destiny!
Mother of heroes, we come your children true,
Proclaiming our allegiance, our faith, our love for you. [to chorus]

I am so happy. Both kids enjoyed their baths and showers by candle light. They may keep that up. No school tomorrow either. Many areas and schools are still without power. I am glad b/c Sam would have missed school anyway due to a bad cold.

The bath by candle light is always nice. My power at home is still out. My plant guy laughed this morning when he heard my power was still out. He said I looked "amazingly well coiffed". After I stopped laughing at him, he said that he wouldn't know I got ready by flashlight. I may have to continue to get ready this way. :funn:

All the photos are just "Wow!". To see the land just bulldozed of all buildings is incredible and just breaks my heart. I'd love to know the story behind the yellow house that is left standing. How is is possible that it's still there and everything else is gone?
