You may feel weird, but I feel sad. We are all about weird and kooky here in the lounge, but I am not a fan of your post above.

I am hoping that our new friend Ricky is an altar ego and someone's trying to be funny because surely we could never attract such a real a$$hole.

That doesn't make me mad, it just depresses me. Here's a few points you should consider.

A) Trying to "save" someone from being gay is just going to piss him or her off. :nono1:

B) You stopping the payments of your mortage is not going to stop him from being gay, it's going to stop him from eating (at least a little).

C) I'm glad the apparent majority of SoWallers are nice, liberal minded people that accept others for their faults, weaknesses, and decisions as well as the "good acceptable" parts of their personalities.

D) People that think that gays are automatically damned to Hell just because they're attractions lie against the norms annoy me and I just don't understand them.

E) In 1972 the American Psychological Association took Homosexuality out of their list of mental illnesses. :!: You should jump on the bandwagon, strap on someone elses shoes and check this out - 1972 APA Convention Anonymous Speech on the Behalf of Gay-PA.

F) It's hard enough for a homosexual man or woman to "be themselves" in public. Many have to hide their true feelings and lifestyles because they are afraid that people will shy away from them or ostrasize them. They are afraid that if those around them knew of their homosexuality it would hold them back, creating the Glass Ceiling Effect just because of their sexuality, not their sex.

G) You can hold your fingers in your ears, you can stomp your feet to drown us out, but it won't work. We are slowly marching towards acceptance because there are good, kind people out there that understand that discrimination is still alive and fighting. We must beat down the hatred and misunderstanding and rise above the oppression. You can read this and believe that I have no idea what I'm talking about. That my youth is causing me to believe what I believe and that years and childbearing will "bring me back". Just so you know, I was raised in a strict Roman Catholic household and still consider myself Catholic. But gone are the days where we will sit quietly with our hands in our laps eating every word our preachers, pastors, and priests shoot from the pulpit. Gone are the days where we quickly chew down the homilies and speaches and believe each part of them as truth. As far as I'm aware, that's what the Protestant Reformation was about.

All in all, I'll stay in my box if you stay in yours. Use discretion with everything you say not to be politically correct, but to be polite. Keep falsehoods or negative thoughts behind your teeth.

It's ok, sweetie, you're only 20. A couple more years and you will begin to grow a sense of humor so that when you see things like this, you'll realize it's a joke almost instantly.

On the other hand, maybe you just needed to get all that out because you or someone you know has been persecuted too by people who are REALLY this stupid and hateful. Could that be that's why I wrote it? To vent?

aww c'mon Kurt...we all know it's you...i always think it's silly and annoying when these board hog, alias people get on the boards and just start talking trash to try to get people worked up. They try to be offensive and push every button in the book... gay issues...race issues...it's so cliche and boring. whatever...i'm with kitty...ignore...and they can just talk to themselves.

Sorry, didn't realize. It's hard to judge humour in typing. Some of my best friends are gay and I'm so sick of everyone else jumping on their backs for it!

It is a comedy and I am married to a #20 fan so no I don't think it's typical but it is FUNNY. Smilin Joe is also just funnin'. I have good friends who grew up in Nerk. Let's just say I'm not far from Jack Nicklaus and Jack Hanna.
