I have just fallen in love with the Goldendoodle owned by our neighbor at the beach. It has the features I like about poodles, but the wonderful disposition of a golden retriever. He's white and has no discoloration, unlike white poodles. BTW I decided that I shouldn't have gotten a black poodle. She gets so incredibly hot at the beach in the summer.

A friend of mine just got a pug. She is the sweetest, cutest, smartest thing. However, I am all about rescue dogs. So if you choose a pug perhaps you can find a rescue for them. That is what I would do. Good luck on your search Whitey!!!

Pugs! They live to eat and sleep. Who could resist a dog like that? And, plus, they have the most adorable faces you could ever wish for.We're partial to PEKINGESE - as cute as pugs, but more fur to snuggle.

Also, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is such a classic, but unfortunately they are genetically pre-disposed to heart problems

My Mom has one that looks like this. She is a very sweet dog. Who also has lizard breath.
When I went down to take care of my mom a couple months ago I was letting Katie in and she had a lizard hanging half way out of her mouth. 
Is this a common florida dog thing? 
My neice has a boston terrier and the first time I saw it I thought it was a french bull dog. I'm becoming a little partial to those too.

Bichon's are cute. But they generally don't like to be left alone all day!

My sister has four pugs, from the geriatric Christabel to the little puppy twins Roxie and Florence. The man in the middle, Archie, was a purebred rescue. That dog is a hoot!

YES! Five (5)!!!!!!!!! That is a mighty small dog to have 5 puppies! They are gorgeous! I need one! But...poor little Sweetie (in my picture) is 9 years old and am afraid she woud wig out! They are the sweetest, smartest, best dogs ever. They do not shed, thier hair grows like a persons and has to be cut...it does not fall out. If you want a lap dog, that does not bark....this is it!

thanks, i took it myself, she and i were riding up on Lookout Mt. and I put the top down and she was LOVING it! I thought "oh what a grayt shot...wait....i have my camera...and just snapped away! She is the sweetest dog ever! She has never barked, chewed, been a sickly dog, and does not mind being left alone all day. Travels very well....she rides in the car all the time!...she even flys in our little plane...she is the flight attendant!
If you want a lap dog...this is it!
