Make sure you buy your guidebook before you go so you can plan. Planning is the funn part.

Planning is essential. Remember to zig when everyone else zags. I had never been to Disney, (Florida meant beach and nothing else) and when Tyler was about 10 we decided it was time to bite the bullet. I really thought it would be the vacation from HELL. I can honestly say it was probably the best vacation I have EVER been on. I had so much FUNN. As a matter of fact I told Mr. dbuck, I can't wait to go back without Tyler. I never, ever expected to have so much funn.

Epcot is really cool but watch out for the 3-D shows. We went to "Honey I Shrunk the Kids".....Quick summary. Rats come running at you. I was trying to be so smart, so I closed my eyes. Had no idea that there were air hoses at your feet that made it feel as if rats were running on your legs. I quickly jerk my legs off the floor, and thrust them forward, hitting a child in the back of the head. I am certain that child talked about "those special effects" after the show. At the end of the show, the dog sneezes and you get sprayed with water simulating dog crud on you. Everything else was just awesome.

All I can say is LOVED IT, LOVED IT. :clap_1: The Best. I honestly felt like a kid again and LOVED every minute of it.

congrats dd - enjoy yourself ! we have talked about going to disney several times, but the dreaded kid factor always comes into play.... once again, there is a reason i don't have kids, so why spend my vaca being miserable around a bunch of kids :dunno: i figure we will end up going with the nephew/niece soon enough. i can take 2 trips to sowal for the cost of one trip to disney i fear.

We love the 3-D shows!! Disney does them so well!!!!

I agree that the shows are very well done. I should have added "but know what you are attending", thus another reason to get a good guide book. My phobia is rodents, so I imagine my fear when 999 came running at me:eek: ! Tails swatting my legs:eek:  !! The rest of my family thought the show was too funny, but I could not get past the first scene. To make matter worse, I was in the middle of the theater so it was impossible to get out. Just one of those moments....

As some of you know, Mr. BB is just one tall (6'3") kid! He loves Universal Studios. They have some funn 3D rides there too. DD, Shrek was my favorite. We stayed (the last time, he has to go about once a year!) at the Portifino Bay resort which is connected to Universal via a waterway, they have a water taxi that comes about every 10 minutes and takes you directly to Universal. One side of the park is the 3D rides and things like that, one part is all the big rides (think rollercoasters, water log type rides) in the center is a big shopping, eating movies complex. Funn Margaritaville is there! chef Emeril Lagasse has a restaurant there, Nascar Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, Bob Marley Restaurant.

Here is the link:

We stayed at Animal Kingdom a couple of years ago and that was funn to watch the animals. Just go by to see the hotel and the animals.

Of course I have to go over to:

Grayt shopping!

There is also a Titanic Exhibit and a Hard Rock Vault with lot's of items not seen at the Hard Rock Cafe's.

At night it is funn to go to the:

Will try to post more later!

You will have a blast!

Lucky, lucky you, DD. I've never been to Disneyworld (though I've been to Disneyland in Los angeles) but would love to go someday.

Thanks, dear. I must confess I'd rather go to SoWal or Vegas, but I keep saying I need to expand my horizons!! :D
