Maybe I do have a snob factor regarding PCB, and in some cases, Destin.
But it is funny that the fact that I dislike high rise buildings, all-you-can-eat buffets, loud and obnoxious watercraft like waverunners and those giant speedboats, waterparks, arcades, tattoo parlors, wet t-shirt contests, and everything else that draws the current MTV generation like flies to doo doo makes me snooty. That is why I want to read and partake in discussion about SoWal- not only the vacation aspects of it, but the real estate, business, political, and cultural parts. I also like to read about interesting places that SoWallers have traveled to and interesting books that people are reading- since one special place brought us together, I am probably going to like the majority of their posts. I want to
learn about the area because I am
interested. I gravitate toward people that have the same
interests as I do- and I have found that community on the SoWal board.
I just need to get better at skipping the subjects that do not interest me instead of wondering why they are there.
A good example is posting on this thread, which is a train wreck. Should have left it in the can, but there ya go.
