Incident at Cafe Rendevous last Friday

I thought that sounded better than just being in CR at that time of the night/morning. I do lots of stuff without my spouse, even attend beach soirees and drink (with a designated driver - thanks wrn).

Maybe I'm just old now, but if it involves a bar, people I don't know, alcohol, and the middle of the night, no good can possibly come of it.

There is no "bouncer" at his establishment and it doesnt seem unreasonable that if a person has an injury they would be taken to the hospital for evaluation before being placed under arrest. But since the "victim" has no recollection of the incident it could be that his memories of the "blow" whether it be an elbow or closed fist could be due to being intoxicated. I have known people that even though they dont drink very much have "blackouts" after even after a small amount of alcohol. They are also the ones that are most likely to become belligerent and blame others for the problems they cause. I also know that memories can become blurry when you are woken by the police at 2 AM to be told that your spouse has been in an altercation that involved a visit to a local hospital but without a copy of the actual report given at the time of that "rude awakening" it would be pretty to hard to prove that the official one written out at the end of the officers shift are different. But if it was me, and I had been out drinking and got unruly enough to punch and be punched in return I would not be the same afterwards either. I would probably be feigning memory loss, innocence and everything else that I thought could get me out of the dog house with my spouse. As far as the cost of that one glass of wine.....have any of your ever bought a bottle of some of the wines sold there? $58 could very easily have been for one glass plus a gratuity.
Also the part about the memory (recent calls etc) being erased from a phone...everytime I drop mine and the sim card becomes even slightly dislodged from its slot it will wipe out all of the stored info.

Only if I was trying to hide the fact that I was calling / talking to people that I knew my spouse would not approve of or if they were calls to / from some unsavory persons that could be traced back to me and therefore link me to them or their unsavory activities. But I personally can check "ALL ACCOUNT ACTIVITY" when I log on to my carriers website. I can delete things from the memory in my phone but it is always still on the activity log at my carrier.

Dont watch it. But I do keep an eye on my teens and can bring up every phone # that has ever been called from their phones. Just in case (God forbid) something should happen and I need to contact someone/ everyone they know.

Yes, fortunately all of the calls are on the account one month later. I am still really confused as to how an unconscious man erased all of the memory on his phone, especially since the police took his phone and I received it at the hospital. My calls to him during that time period when he did not have his phone were gone too....who is the one hiding unsavory activity here?

And to clarify for all readers, the police called ME from his cell phone at 2:45 am while the incident occured at 12:45 am. The police had possession of the phone for over 2 hours while the gentleman was undergoing a workup at the hospital. Again, who is the one covering unsavory activity?
And to clarify another big mistake in the paper, the gentleman was never under arrest, was never charged and has not been charged with battery.

I would imagine to erase the 2 text message I sent him- still on my phone- at 1:30 am and 1:45 am anxiously looking for him. That way they could claim it took them 2 hours to find my number in his cell phone or something along those lines, although why they just did not ask him is beyond me. That IS the question of the day and I would be calling every single # that was called and is stored at the carrier from the time I last saw hubby and that I got possession of the phone. NOT just the 2 hours it was in the possession of WCSO. I would realize that I might not like what I found (but that I could also use that as evidence) But it would prove once and for all, without the he said/she said B.S., exactly who was called and why. I love my hubby, but love is no excuse for being stupid and blindly believing that he has / will never do something dumb enough to break my trust in him. (I guess what I am saying is... I dont really trust him any farther than I could throw him. And that if it was me I would have gone to that hospital and asked him just what he did to get his @55 beat at 2 AM in Seaside)

But it doesnt surprise me that some people dont realize that ALL calls are stored whether or not you delete them from your phone. And I kinda hate to be the one to get that info out there just because some folks seems to think you need to be a private eye or law enforcement to get to that info. But in case you missed the cell phone thread, I can even turn off/on text messaging from all of the cell phones in my house at any time and just because I feel like it. Much to my amusement sometimes, but much to the dismay of my kids. (no, they dont know my passwords to those accounts. hehehe)

I don't know which cell provider you use, but I have Verizon and can access & print out my full call & text history at any time online.

While I love to espouse conspiracy theories, I really have a hard time buying in. The deputies or whomever could have erased them all a lot easier than just picking some. And erasing text messages is something I do all the time, but I have to do it one at a time on my silly phone. But if the guy is starting to remember, and Anchors is a really smart ASA, he will have the whole list, and his investigators are top notch, so whatever was happening will be uncovered. Just will take a bit of time.

One LAST thing- nor has my husband ever been arrested. And to answer the question of why he became upset: my husband is a heavily accented Hispanic gentleman who felt he had been discriminated upon by another bar patron and the staff. After paying $58.00 for a glass of wine (just what are they serving at Cafe Rendezvous?) I imagine I would have been upset too...

English is the second language in Rendevouz. You'd have more credibility for the discrimination claim if your husband was a plain spoken, white southern male. Those poor slobs don't have a chance with the chicks at Rendevouz.

Again, I am curious as to exactly who you think the "enemy" is...and why the police, responding to either a disturbance / signal 2 / signal 20 call, seem to be the focus of your wrath.

Chain of evidence has been broken no doubt. The worst thing for you and the best the for the Police is to keep shooting your mouth off your just giving them more ammo. Take it to court just remember when the ask the soon to be appointed jurors have or do you know anything about this case? Yea I read all about it on SoWal. For everyone else be smart enough to get out of jury duty.
