While in the Anchorage Alaska airport Monday I was sitting right next to the gate desk. There were numerous papers about the size of printed tickets neatly laid out on the desk. I’m unsure of their purpose.
Various people came up inquiring about these and the agent would look for the one matching the name given then hand them the papers.
I saw four men and one woman make this exchange and the only person the agent asked for an ID from was the lone person of color.

Years ago I worked for a food distributor (Louisville). Had a trip to eastern ky to ride w/a salesman. One day we went to school lunchrooms. Took a cake to each manager. One school he told me no. When we went in, she was the only black on his route. Just can’t and will never get over acts of racism. Ellen
