invisible crabs at dusk

GHOST CRABS! I have never heard of anyone being pinched by one. Maybe someone else will post more information on them for you.

Just curious if you are afraid of spiders like me? Some crabs (normally the slower ones near the bay) creep me out because they remind me too much of big spiders! :yikes:

yes. I believe I have arachnaphobia, all bugs, mostly spiders. My little brothers used to chase me with grandaddy long legs. I seem to attract them too. I have a ridiculous fear of wasps also. And I'm a country girl.

It is kind of rude how they peek out of their bunkers and stare at you.

Those fleas that you can't see are noseeums.

Thank you for posting that! I frequently walk my dog on the beach and she loves to chase the ghost crabs... they often run into the water to get away from her, and I've always been afraid they can't survive the water... Now I know that they are OK!

There's spider crabs in the Gulf and Bay, unfortunately you can't eat them.
