Oh I will miss college basketball in Kentucky....this is the first March in 22 years that I have not lived in KY!)

It's funny- when Pitino came to UK, it was like the second coming of Christ. When he left to go to UL, he was immediately something smelly on the shoe for UK fans....

I think Pitino is brilliant. He worked both sides of one of the most feverish basketball states rivalries, and made lots of money doing it. Lexington had lots of fun when Pitino came to town, and so did Louisville. But it might be time for him to go on and work his magic elsewhere- he does better during the initial fever pitch of his arrival.

Coincidentally, at a restaurant tonight we ran into the surgeon who lives across the street and went to KY. He is a major KY fan and was teasing my husband about the new Gator magnet on our car. I teased him back about KY now being associated with being a jelly instead of a basketball power. Thanks, Skunky, for that line. ;-)

BTW does anyone know if the UF-UT game will be televised anywhere in SoWal on Saturday? It'll be televised here in GA, but we have Mediacom at our Seagrove home, and it's not on the Mediacom schedule. We called Shades, and their provider (DIRECTV) doesn't have it either.

It was absolutely wonderful once we got to the actual wedding and then the reception! Total chaos getting it all together but turned out beaultiful. I'll send pics when I get them. After the reception, I stayed up until 5 am Sunday morning partying with everyone. Went to Fourth Street Live then to their Honeymoon Suite at the Hyatt! I am Waay too old for that! But Fun Fun! YES< It is freezing....Snowing here in the Ville too!

Glad it was fun. Where was the wedding and reception? My duaghter just got married this fall, it was so much funn. School is letting out early for this tiny bit of snow. My daughter teaches 1st grade, she was more excited than her kids about the early dismissal.

The Limo got us to the church....we had our arms full and the church was not open. We were not happy and FREEZING! Then it was freezing in the church. The pastor only kept the heat on during the ceremony. Not before and after for pics.I thought that was a bit unthoughtful and rude.

I thought about the weather Saturday, it was chilly alright. Don't know much about that church but those old buildings in the Highlands would be hard to keep warm on a mild winter day, let alone Saturday.

It *was* a great game. I couldn't believe that KY gave the Gators such a scare after their domination in the first half. Billy D. had better figure out a way to keep both Noah and Horford out of foul trouble because that was key to the Gators' having a close call at the end. Can't let that happen again.
