and it's spilling over into SoWal.

In front of Great Southern yesterday afternoon, I saw that great rarity, even harder to find than an Ivory-Billed Woodpecker.

Yup, a Harley with mufflers. :clap_1:

Hey, it's motorcycle weekend in SoWal. Can't believe how noisy it is here! :bang: That being said, Big D had a big Triumph at Tulane and appreciates that there are really some nice bikes here.

It's kind of like the old Freaknik ... perhaps Hognik?

I came upon the lovely bikers that pulled off the side of the road heading down to Grayton, and all proceeded to go pee in the woods. Couldn't they have ridden just a tad further and found a potty?:dunno:

The news reported that at least two motorcycle riders have been killed in PCB and the surrounding area. One motorcycle ran a red light. :sosad:

...and what, wait in line? :dunno: By the way, the rumbling of the Harleys is all for the benefit of the ladies who are on the bikes, at least that is what they tell me. Can you imagine a three hour ride on a massaging beast of thundering wheels strapped between your legs? Vrrmm, Vrrrmm.

All the more reason for the women to at least wear a helmet. If the vroom vroom is that much "fun", seems like they would be falling off right and left?:dunno:

It's not as glamorous as it looks and all the talk about the vibration being for the ladies....most of it is in your feet...nothing else:blush:

I guess you haven't ridden a rigid frame.

SJ-don't know a whole lot about bikes even though we have two, I'm not real savvy on frames. I have ridden a 70 sportster...ouch! felt like my girly parts were in my throat! upgraded to a 99 soft-tail and also have a 70 shovelhead....they're very comfy but my feet tingle when I get off the bike! :D PCB was very crowded Saturday night, and it's just scary to sit and watch the crazy things people do on bikes at events like that. Wonder how many fatalities they had this year.

All that rumble you feel in your feet, apply that to your entire body, and that is what it is like to ride a rigid. Rigids are bikes without rear suspension. They don't call Soft-tails Soft-tails for nothing. ;-) (very few people ride rigids, so you are correct about most girls not feeling that rumble between the legs.) Enjoy the ride. :D
