Jan 1st Bowl Games Not on Cable?

Will this affect us? :yikes:

Even under the best of conditions Mediacom can drop the ball.

I remember when there were only four games on Jan 1st.

It was always such a sad day for me.

Holidays were about to be over and no football on Saturdays.

I like it like we have it now!

Although hearing Larry Munson..."Hunker down, you guys." during a non-televised game was priceless.

Hmmm...Gator Bowl on CBS, the bowl LSU is in is on ABC, Sugar Bowl on Fox...I have heard there are some cable markets affiliated with Time-Warner that are in a tinkling match with Fox, but haven't heard any issues with Mediacom. Of course, I don't have Mediacom.

BTW, anybody who knows how to Tivo and burn a dvd or two of the Gator Bowl, do it and we can work out a deal when I get back from Jax (we don't get CBS at my house) . Even if we lose, because this is one for the history books.

I too saw that one was on CBS, one on ABC, and one on Fox but one I saw was on ESPN tomorrow. Don't remember which one.

False alarm

I read on AJC.com that Fox and Time Warner worked on a temporary deal where the Sugar Bowl and pro games this weekend would be carried as usual.

I don't inhale the sports section like I did in my youth.
