omc, meryl streep in Devil Wears Prada made me think she was really the biotch from the deepest depths of hail! she's the best, I don't care which movie it is. I loved her in it... Mama Mia.... Prairie Home Companion.. Bridges of Madison County... and many that I've forgotten or have never seen. quite an amazing career.

I saw the movie today in Sedona. Absolutely loved it !! I can"t help but think that both Julia's book and Julie's book will be at the top of the best sellers list again !!!

She is being interviewed regarding a new movie with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Sounds funn, but she needs to call 911 regarding her hair.

Julie and Julia was fantastic, saw it Sat. night with Hub, who pronounced it a chick flick but hooted and howled right along with me, and generally had a grand time watching. We immediately went to the bookstore in search of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, but they were sold out, so I picked up Julia's My Life in France to tide me over. It's wonderful!

I am surprised in the listing of Streep's best work, no one has yet mentioned Out of Africa. I have watched it twice, once when it was new at the theater, and once on video, early VHS era. Both times it ruined me for the rest of the day, such a heartbreaker! I can't watch it any more, but it remains one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Just to set the record straight, I am a manly man, but I do think Meryl Streep is just an incredible actress. The Devil Wears Prada was great. Out of Africa: great. Many more: great. I still to this date whine to my wife about being dragged to Mama Mia. Why was her hair so messy? and how did Pierce Brosnan's hair remain immaculate on that windy mountainside? Hello... I think she could have used a little more Aqua-net.

Love Meryl Streep - hated this movie. The Julie character was whiney and boring, boring, boring. Streep, however, was so good. We thought this movie would have been fabulous with lots less Julie and more Julia.
