I'm doing it. I can't believe I'm doing this.
I'm not moving to Sowal...but Socal.
On Tuesday my old boss approached me with an offer to come out to LA and work on a few special projects with her. The money was right- for the first time EVER and this is just an opportunity I can't turn down. This is going to be so much more my thing.
I am committing myself until the end of December and then we are going to evaluate whether I want to say in LA or move to NY and work from the NY office (where I really started my career)...or move back to NY and explore other opportunities.
I'm really pumped about this. I'm nervous about how my friends here are going to react, but I'm positioning it as a temporary thing. Who knows...I could fall in love with the place.
Just to confirm....I WILL be on hand for the Auburn/LS-who game and NYE. Those are 2 things we discussed right off. ;-)
Stay tuned...this is all going to go down in early August!

Great news, Kimmi! I know you've had your hat set towards Southern CA for some time now. You will have a ball. It is the land of opportunity for young people and don't pay attention to those people who make fun of L.A. Saying you don't like L.A. is like saying you don't like food...something there for everybody. They have beaches there, too. Have a ball! :clap_1:

Congrats Kimmi. When I inquired about going to LA/San Diego last year for my first time you gave me great tips (which I appreciated very much). I love CA...the people are so laid back and all the food is wonderful.

We lived there 1994-1995...made ridiculously funn money...and spent every penny due to high cost of living. But I'll never forget the weekend we went snow skiing on Saturday at Big Bear, then soaked up sun on the beach near San Diego on Sunday...what a FUNN lifestyle that was!

How's the baby brother handling this move? That's alot of space on the map between 'Bama and California. My daughter is missing her brother who just moved to Memphis, she'd freak if it was L.A. Phead are you going with???
