Latest trends in pedicures......

i don't know about any trends, but i will share this with ya'll. a girl at work is selling this stuff called beauticontrol - i think it is similar or competetive to mary kay. anyway their body products are awesome, there is a cream called save your sole foot salve that is wonderful....it even softened up my callused heels....

Timely subject as Fyl and I just did the mother-daughter thing and got a manicure and pedicure. I got OPI Pagoda Pink on my nails. Very springy! BTW, what do they cost where you are? We spent $79 for the two of us; is that about average? That's what it usually is for us give or take $10 or so.

I feel like pedicures are getting really expensive as well. The last one I got was at a cheapo place and it was like $35 plus tip. That's high from what I remember...

I pay $25 + tip. It's a very small shop that's in my hair salon. She does an excellent job.

I do pedicures with my daughter too--here, if you go to one of the many places run by Vietnamese owners, a pedi is $25 plus tip; manicures are $10-15. Really fancy "salon pedicures" cost $50 plus tip!
That's too rich for my blood, so daughter and I go once a month to the cheaper places--and they do good work. (I'm going to really miss that when she goes off to college.....)

OPI has a new line of colors out for spring...I just got You Rock-A-Pulco Red or something like that. I think there's about 8 new colors. I still love I'm Not Really a Waitress by OPI for my toes. I do agree with Miss Kitty though; the lighter colors last longer especially at the beach. Last time I got a pedicure I paid $35 plus tip and it was at a Vietnamese shop. My hair salon charges WAY too much...$55!!! 😱

Rudy is still a stinker. John is on meds but those are holding him over quite well. But it is borrowed time. The vet says at least he feels good. Thanks.

25.00$ plus tip here too....I LOVE getting a pedicure...I get them all year long!!! I love light shell pink...makes me think I am at the beach!!!!:wub:

I've been paying 25 in destin plus tip and I always use OPI. I go really bright and bold in the summer on my toes and then keep my fingers really pale/light or regular shade. Right now I have on the "not really a waitress" color that someone else mentioned earlier!
