latest version of itunes

Anybody using this with Windows? Just downloaded it last night, couldn't decide whether to hurl the iPod or the computer out the window. The new version seems to have some super-protective file-saving feature built in because many songs mysteriously reappeared on my library, which is now completely overloaded. :shock: Help.

Oh this same thing happened to my 16 yr. old like 2 days ago. Boy was he livid!!!! Then, he said everything's ok now. I'll have to find out. Might be the same thing.

what sorts of problems have you had before, Beach Jacket? i started reading some message boards and blogs on the topic today, and it sounds like a lot of people have gone back to older versions.

When it first started this whole "find album art for every song" stuff, that would shut down my computer. I have so many songs that it would just take up all of the computer's resources and go kaput. Also, I've had some ipod issues in the past with it as far as computers authorized for purchased songs vs. nonpurchased songs. My bf's updated itunes erased his whole ipod!
