That was great! Letterman handled that so well.

Letterman is the man. Especially when he is the conductor of a train wreck.

Letterman IS the man. and also the only TV show worthy of watching (if I can stay up that late!).

I always felt Dave was out of his league with extremely talented actors and musicians.

Perhaps, but in this case, he seemed to be handling it perfectly. They made it funny by doing absolutely nothing, and he made it funny by not really taking charge and just letting it go. Damn, I think I just overthought.
was as smooth as a baby's butt.

Oh I think he handled it OK. I just think somebody like Dinero is not going to be comfortable with Letterman and the format of his show to begin with. To me he is just so serious but also good-natured. Dave of course likes to poke fun at just about everything. So let's face it, I think Dave may have adequately handled an uncomfortable situation that he was kind of responsible for just by being who he is. I think it's funny that they (especially Dinero) were even on his show in the first place.

Yeah, I think everyone involved knew (and perhaps, wanted) it to be uncomfortable. That was where the humor came from.

I guess that was his first time on the show, but he once read the top ten via satellite. I'd love to see Jimmy Page on Letterman! I think he has a similar personality to Dinero, but has been surrounded by more controversy (a bit).
