I was watching something just now at a friend's. Was fascinating and on TLC, but not sure if it was the same thing?

Was decent, but I miss Sigourney Weaver. So far Planet Earth > Life.

I watched last night, it was great! It'll probably be a Sunday must in our house for the next 10 weeks. The girls were fascinated.

note to self: never hang out with komodo dragons.

I liked it, but I found it distracting how it jumped around. Felt like I was just watching a whole bunch of clips strung together instead of a film/program with a cohesive theme.

The bug blowing up it's eyeball stalks was amazing!

It was. It was shown on every Discovery network for two hours, and then, all but Discovery TV went back to their normal programming.

I liked the pebble toad. When it saw the tarantual, it was like "Oh crap!" and just tensed up into the little ball and fell back down the mountain. Who needs comedians when you have Mother Nature!

David Attenborough narrated the BBC version. Personally, I though Oprah as the narrator was the weak spot.

Those toads cracked me up too. I've seen toads do that if a dog starts checking them out too....they look like a stone. :funn:

I thought Oprah was an okay narrator - was worried she would be distracting - but didn't understand why they picked her when there are SO many better voices.

Watched again last night. The first episode was mamals. Of course, they did show lions eating big animals and hyenas attacking so we turned it away for a minute for Mrs SC. The best part had to be the meerkats falling asleep while sitting up.

The second episode about fish was cool, too. The Mrs and I are getting certified in May. Can't wait to be able to see that stuff for real...
