Hello,

My wife and I have fallen in love with the vibrant Fort Walton community and are currently on the lookout for a business to purchase and manage.

Our decision to transition from corporate careers stems from our desire to embrace our entrepreneurial instincts and establish roots to raise a family in this welcoming locale. Our vision is to take the reins of a single business, honor its existing legacy, nurture its employees and clientele, and contribute positively to the local community.

With access to approximately $6 million in capital, we are well-equipped to pursue opportunities independently, without the need for external investors. Furthermore, our extensive network allows us to consider larger-scale ventures if deemed necessary. As a baseline criterion, we are targeting businesses capable of yielding approximately $400k in annual cash flow for the owner.

We have a preference for straightforward and dependable business models, and we would be thrilled to engage in discussions with anyone contemplating a sale or who may be acquainted with potential opportunities.

Thank you for your consideration.

Welcome! What is your favorite thing about Fort Walton? How long have you been visiting and what is your favorite place here?

$400k net or gross? What type of extensive network do you have?

Thanks for the response, Jim.

We love the area because of the beautiful architecture, abundant cleanliness, joy of the community, ocean breeze and views, golden hours on the beach, etc. My wife and I consider it our happy place and try to visit at least once a year.

Our favorite places are along 30A, but we have also spent a lot of time in Destin and love it there too.

We have visited Fort Walton our whole life and have some friends living in 30A with whom we would love to spend more time.

$400k net and the network includes friends and family, micro private equity, wealthy individuals, and family offices.

Thank you.

you've probably already done this, but I've heard that bizbuysell.com is a good place to look.

I am looking to open an upscale pet salon, holistic pet food & potential day care in this area, I am an internationally certified master stylist and have chosen to move my business down from Macon- I sold it to a popular veterinarian on NatGeo so I believe the model is worth looking at and I can provide projections for this market & location.. there are no competitors in the area- and the industry is very simple to handle. I have direct access to merchandise, support, marketing, and extensive website and graphic experience in the industry. Just something to possibly consider, I would be happy simply running & working in the facility, it’s a needed service to the area and needs to be done well and with professionals.

You're moving a business or you sold it?

No competition? I can think of 3 groomers and 3 vets that offer boarding service along with a training school. Might want to dig a little deeper into the local competition.

Everyone with more than a couple million dollars wants to open a business in South Walton snd everyone that has visited or vacationed here wants to move here

Despite networks, cash flow and vast corporate experience, the area, especially 30A, IS/has been one large Monopoly board, once all of the spaces are sold (they just sbout are), there are none to buy and businesses may only go up and expand. Unfortunately, the mighty door of business ownership on 30A has closed. Builders and investors have sunk all their money into housing and space for retail etc, with the exception of Greenway park, have dwindled to nothing

I feel very fortunate and very blessed that I was able to buy my business on 30A about 3 1/2 almost 4 years ago, but finding it was incredibly difficult! The person listing the business, we believe, was "burying/hiding" it, so that it could not be discovered easily. Admittedly it took months and months of research and super sleuthing! I wish you the best of luck!

Seems hyperbolic considering all the new businesses and space opening on 98 and 331 up to I10.

You're on the Frontline though and I'm interested to hear more about your experience. Sounds intriguing.

Hi there thank you for your response. Everything in Santa Rosa Beach is exaggerated now but definitely not my assessment of Entrepreneurship directly on the Emerald Coast

Please note, my posting actually Echoes your sentiments; I recommend Highway 98 and above, from Freeport up to DeFuniak and everything north.

I am honestly dissuading anybody from dreaming that they may acquire a business on 30A, because, quite simply, that requires a Herculean effort! Of course, if you're talking about investing in real estate there's still plenty of that to go around but the prices have skyrocketed and there is so much corporate investment that no one will see a sizeable return on their investment and that market. I relish the opportunity to converse with fellow business owners and analysts, like you, and appreciate the perspectives!
