Went when it first opened and it was truly horrible. Apparently it improved and developed some regulars and fans, but I felt no need to return.

I agree... the food is absolutely horrible there.  Such a waste of a great place.... tastes like they cook and soak everything in Walmart brand Chinese brown sauce... yuck... I hope they get a new chef and new menu and stick around cause the place itself is really cool.

Our experience last season was similar, unfortunately. How do you mess up a dozen raw oysters? By bringing out 10 oysters and 2 empty shells. And the place was not busy.
