I've heard that rumor. Very unfortunate, if it is true.
Does anyone have more info, or rationale?
Yes they closed a few weeks ago. I don't know particulars but that is a very tough location.
Impossible location, just nonsensical of them to have gone there. Very good food, but absolutely hidden.
I spoke to one of the owners and it was a very tough location. But they are still around and doing catering but are in no hurry to jump into another bad location. He said when the right place comes along they will be back.
I know more than a few people looking for restaurant locations. I'm afraid mostly chains will be able to afford new builds.
Whoever ends up with Grayton Grill is lucky.
Oh, no! We were planning to go there for our anniversary next week. I feel so badly for them. They catered a party for us, and everyone raved over the food.
I hope they find another location. It was one of our favorite places to dine there.
Location location location .. Yes Grayton grill space is a real location. Also, few know, but Nicks on the beach in BMB. Is for sale with a lot of land also .
How is your back? Obviously better of you are headed down.
I think everyone knows that Nick's is for sale.
hope not if your talking about Nicks land!
How nice of you to ask! I'm not able to drive that far myself, but next week we have hubby's birthday, the kids' anniversary, our anniversary, and Father's Day. So hubby can drive.
Nicks will probably be torn down and condos built on the highest elevation location on 30 A.
Remember "highest and best use"
Only thing good at Marigny were the raw oysters, but their horseradish was weak. Food IMHO was terrible!
Necessary post????????????? Kick 'em when they're down??????????
Never been toward the bay, other than coming or going. We have been to Sandestin a few times.
So, the Grayton Bar and Grill did close. Looked like it was closed when we there in May. Last August, we had a few nice beers and appetizers with good service.
We may have eaten at Nick's twice. Nothing bad. Sort of 'old school'.
Too many options on 30A. Plus we tend to park and walk or ride or bikes to eat or get food to go.
We liked May. First time ever. Children in school, then husband teaching so we never could.
Basmati's was a great first time visit. Always try to go to at least one never visited spot.
We return in September - again first time that month. We haven't been in Feb., Sept. (bundling with football), Oct. (will be returning in Oct., bundling with football) or Nov. Looking to book May for 2016.
The marigny was excellent and will be missed. I hope they return to a better location.
Nick's IS old school Seafood, fresh and served with baked potato and slaw. My favorite! You don't find old school seafood joints like this. They know their Seafood, they know where it came from and fresh is important to them.. and serve it prepared to your liking. I'll take it fried please. Nick's On The Bay even better.
