It was still going strong a few minutes ago when Kdarg and I came home. Waco was playing and Dread was coming back for a second set. Dread's first set was electric, I think the second was going to be acoustic. I will let Jdarg fill in the details, but I must say, that I do not think I have ever seen such a great group of people hanging out together enjoying music and friends.

I just walked in the door, and that was a great party! I haven't stayed out that late in a long time.

-Giant Hula Hoops- Potato Vixen can keep it going forever!!
-Bobby J's son making his "nervous Realtor" face on cue (I hope you have a pic of this!)
-The Ramblers sounding fantastic
-Moresight- great band from Atlanta :clap_1:
-unbelieveable food- best crab cakes ever, and the Boston butts were amazing
-meeting lots of our neighbors
-seeing the former owners of our house
-Kate and her new friend Isabella giving out "free" honeysuckle blossoms to everyone coming through the gate
-2 very nice sheriff's deputies, who looked like they really would have rather come in and listened to the music than tell JohnR to turn it down, then turn it off
-the dirtiest feet we have ever seen, ours included

I know JohnR can probably wait a bit for next year's Mayhem, but mark us down now as attending!

Sounds wonderful!!!! Makes me wish I had driven on down...but then I'd be facing a 9 hour drive home right now... That is no funn...:shock:

Pics might take a while, plus there may not be many because they tried to keep the light level down very low to help keep it a little more Earth-friendly. That is just the way John R rolls. He also had recycling stations next to the trash.

Oh and just so everyone knows, Miss Kitty and I are ready for our Walmart Greeter jobs. Some people were concerned that we would be too shy and introverted, but we showed them otherwise.

and darn if you guys were not the best greeters at any party which I've attended. The entire darg family was greeting from the get-go until late into the night. I think they went home before the chocolate peanut butter snacks arrived, but maybe I will remember to score a few for you.

...many funn and good times were had at the meet and greet station. But, the funniest thing to me was bdarg confessing his phobias. Cotton candy, over zealous preacher types and TEXAS!!! I am hoping I helped him off the ledge about Texas. I did tell him he could come to the State Fair and get a load of all three at one time!!!

It's 11:00 p.m., I'm dozing on the couch, minding my own business, keeping my coughing and hacking and sneezing and trails of Kleenex and Vicks Vaporub to myself, and the phone rings...

Well...there were a few that did not think I was too friendly when they couldn't produce an ID (I swear I am 21!:roll: ha ha been there done that). Everyone was super nice that came through save one little twerp that had the nerve to say "I shouldn't have to pay- I worked this party last year. I don't have $10. I only have a hundred dollar bill". So I said "Fine. How generous of you to donate $100!! I'm working this party this year and if you have a $100 bill, then you can certainly pay the gate." (I gave him change- he was a 10 on the maroon scale)

Chocolate PB, huh? I am now in love with the crab cakes - --need to track some more of those down.
