Apparently it is a bag of IV fluids that will rehydrate those who are "overserved".

Audie, the powers that be (the suits) actually frown upon banana bags now. The argument is that you get as much bang from normal saline and PO vitamins as you would from the banana bag at a far cheaper price. It has been at least three years since I have seen one...we used to give them to alcoholics at the VA where cost was no issue (!), but it seems they are a waste of $$$. Have you noticed this trend?
