:lolabove: The Star Spangled Banner........ That's so funny.

I have a commercial front loader and you can see the clothes spin, and my nephew thinks its the graytest thing. It spins twice and he has it timed, and he makes everyone go down and watch the show.

That's it!!! I want the red ones so bad!! It is not good for me to go shopping.
Red hot washer mama!!:lolabove:

My in-laws had to buy a new washer and dryer a couple of years ago. My father-in-law  bless his heart, is a little, no make that a lot on the frugal side. My MIL stood her ground with him and they finally purchased the new appliances. I am not sure of the brand. When we all went up for a visit. He could barley contain himself. We were all marched to the laundry room to see the new machines. I'd never seen him so excited. The source of the excitement was not that they did a stellar job on the clothes, or in half the time, or that they used less energy or water! The dam* things played the "Star Spangled Banner" at the end of the cycle. :funn::rotfl:
:rotfl: :rotfl: that is tooooo funny!!!!

Sorry Audie. MANgo is in the biz. You can come over anytime and watch it spin too with my nephew.
It's -15 here with wind chill factor. :dunno: Come today.
Now why can't you get a front loader? One can always make the room.
Just give me a hammer gull.

I don't know if it's the cold weather or what but the pilot light on the hot water heater keeps going out and our dryer just stopped heating!!!! Mr OL is in the basement now. Not a good day. I think he's calling into work to play Mr Repairman. :bang: I just hope we don't have to replace anything. :sosad:

Good luck with the dryer, DD -

I don't think the dryer balls are for us. The dogs bark when the washer is unbalanced, so I imagine the dryer balls would be a hoot. Plus, FuzzyJr and the Labrador would think they are fun to play with and break (more) glass...

front loaders are where it's at. less water usage, and they make pedestals for them that makes them easier to load but also negate being able to build a folding table above, since they'd be too high. i indeed have the bigtime tromms. i sold my house and specifically wanted a W/D set that would last me forever. RED will not make the clothes cleaner or dry faster, but will cost more. make sure you are able to place them so the doors open opposing each other so transfer from wet to dry is a snap. HD has an exchange program where for $1. they will take away your old set. of course, like any high dollar appliance, spend the money on the extended warranty.

you will not be dissapointed if you go LG.

it's all about the spin cycle, the faster it can go, the less energy you'll spend on drying.

pm me if you need more info.

Thanks John R - My decison is made - LG it is. You are right about the doors. It is best to have the washer on the left because it is hinged on the left and cannot be hinged any other way. The dryer can open to the left or right.
