I was shocked to hear that he had done this in his late teens. I mean come on, it's my grandfather, so sweet and all.
So we are having cake and coffee, and he turns around to me and with a big smile says: GOT MILK!

I have a soft spot for the older generation, how lucky you are to still have him in your life
So, we are having an Italian Dinner Party for my mother on Sunday, and my Grandfather who will be 99, yes , 99 on Halloween nonetheless, told us this funny story. Guess they delivered milk by horse and carriage when he was young, and he and his co-worker decided to have some funn. So they took off for the day and decided to go galavanting aroud town and talk it up with the ladies :funn:and drive some home from school. Of which of course, the milk never got fully delivered.

my grandpa. God Bless his heart, he still has his wits about him, does his own grocery shopping with his brother whose 89 every Monday on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx (it's an Italian section with stores that have been around for generations) He would love SoWal and was an avid fisherman all his life. He lives on the water. I wish he could come see it, and if I thought he would come with me by plane, I would take him in a second, but he never has been on an airplane, and frankly I think the travleing would be too much for him. I show him Kurt's pictures and he says- "that's just bootiful"Thanks gulls. Imy grandpa.
