I finally found where I could get a new watermattress. Surprisingly, waterbed suppliers have gone the way of the Dodo, kind of hard to find. One that is around is the Waterbed Doctor over in Gulf Breeze. Mike is the Doctor and he's been around since '71, he's the real deal.

Some of you may know that since I moved to the new house, I've been sleeping on an airbed(when not being used by others), or a Paco Pad. I've been sleeping on water since high school and was contemplating a switch to a conventional mattress. Pretty silly, huh? After much searching, i found Mike. I got a new mattress on Saturday, and after refinishing the old frame, filled it up last night. WOW. the difference betreen today's equipment and 20yr old equipment is like night and day.

There are so many baffle layers(and lumbar support) inside that the water barely moves. it's awesome. if you ever thought about sleeping on water, give a real mattress a spin, and you'll probably be sold.

the new mattresses are textured for some reason, and have 10 layers of baffling for motion control(so no bouncing around). also a second air release opening for bleeding out. i got a digital heater also. this thing is deluxe.

make sure it's seedless ok, peapod?

i pray your bed doesn't explode like ours did a month ago - we had the kind where there are water tubes in it, then a pillowtop zips over it.... big mess when it went kapow ! mr audie thought he wet the bed or something...we went with the tempur-pedic which i must say sleeps very well !;-)

don't fret with regard to the linens. i have also learned that with the advent of the giant mattress/box spring combo, manufacturers are making linens that will fit pretty much everything. i have quite a few sets. it was just late by the time things got done last night and i just wanted to crash.

Where does your "House Girl" sleep? Do you still have her in the closet; under the stairs? I mean; it was nice of you to put in those shelves; but come on; buddy!
