It is with great happiness that I report a decision I made about two weeks ago...
I will be leaving the University of Georgia School of Law upon completion of this spring semester.
I will be transfering to Emory University and Georgia Tech in Atlanta to pursue a joint degree program--Masters degree in City and Regional Planning and of course finishing out my J.D. with a concentration in land use law and policy at Emory University. I could not have discovered a more appropriate program for crafting my future career plans. I am so nervous about taking on what seems like a gargantuan amount of extra work, but I am determined so I know I will be okay.
I am so sad to leave UGA, and of course I will NOT be assimilating at the Tech campus. UGA always has my heart, and I will be at every UGA home game in the fall and Thanksgiving weekend when we play Tech on Tech turf, I will be dressed in red and black.
Well, just another two weeks of finals and my first year of law school and final year at UGA will come to a close.

I hope that by nominal you mean free? After moving to SoWal and finishing up three years of law and grad school, I can will barely be able to afford to attend a free party.

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. My intentions are to move to Sowal and become a practicing planner and lawyer.
I cannot wait for Atlanta, I am having trouble fiding a nice place though, the market for even small studio condos has gone through the roof

bsmart - what area are you considering for condos? We used to live not far from Tech (about 3 miles) on what we called the Upper West Side - northwest of the West Side area at Howell Mill/14th.
There are a lot of things in that "transitional area" that were still not ridiculously priced (relatively speaking).
Our complex had been redone by Harry Normal. It had previously been condemned and a home for squatters.
Check in the 30318 zip code near the end of Moore's Mill. It's a very easy drive to tech. Good luck!

I was just up in Buckhead/Madison and had to escape to Athens for a second to breathe. Then I had to go to downtown ATL near GA State and.... well, you know how lovely that area is!
