Typically I would have started my countdown weeks ago. However, this trip is bittersweet for all of us. The obvious being the oil spill, and my sadness to all affected and of course all of the marine life that has and will be affected.
Also, our dear beloved Crump has been in the hospital for over a week in serious condition. We were so hoping that he would be able to make the trip with us this year, but he will not. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
I am looking forward to getting there. I can't wait to say....

So today I have had "Sex On The Beach" and "Sex With The Bartender". Oh, I should add that those drinks. I am feeling pretty darn good right about now. Getting ready to eat some Ribs, Corn on the cob, Salad, and "Smashed Taters". and my "World Famous Peach Cobbler from Scratch" I wish you were all here to join me. 😀 TripleB is sitting here with me. And for the record we are not at Seagrove Villa's and Motel, :( so no hammock time for me. But, we are at Emerald Hill Condo's which is wonderful as well.

It is another cloudy morning and the waves are amazing. Not sure if it will be a beach day or not today, we shall wait and see.
I will report that the TDC is doing it's job by tagging and removing stuff from the beach. There was tent set up overnight in front of condo that had been there for at least 24 hours. It was tagged yesterday and removed today. Tim, Pat and Butch got up at about 6:00 am. to go and set up our 2 tents. When they came back up, they noticed a truck going down the beach and tagging items. They tagged our items and Pat ran them down and told them that they had just put them up. The guy from TDC told Pat that the regulation states that items could not be put on the beach until an hour after sunrise. So now we know. But, at least they are tagging and removing.
It is beautiful even with the clouds and rain.

Looks like it may be kinda rainy for most of the week... but that's OK. Rain @ the beach is another cool gift from the Mother!

Sorry we couldn't meet y'all too but we had a great time. As usual, the beach was incredible. The june grass screwed up the fishing but who cares? I just sat there and drank beer instead. Burnt the fooey out of the tops of my feet.
The wedding was great and the house it was in was incredible. If I had 3.5 mil in the bank, I would buy it today.
The only hitch in our trip was an old fella across the street who tried to tow my truck from the side of the road in front of his house. :angry::boxing:

The day started out gray and yucky, but ended up beautiful. Kelly and I just finished a delicious dinner on the veranda looking out at that beautiful gulf. The rest of the tribe went to Goatfeathers for dinner.
It has been a wonderful day. Have I mentioned how much I love it here? Just beautiful. I hope to meet up with a little furry critter that arrived in town today, and a jfunn. Hopefully will get to see a whiteyfunn the end of the week.
