NCAA college hoops pick'em

Did we not have a NCAA college hoops pick'em on here this past season? I thought Beach Runner or someone had started one or am I imagining things???

I could probably start one with a little guidance and the help of someone who could at the end of the weeks games post the standings in a pdf format. I do not know how to make a pdf file. Maybe BeachRunner could help?

I'd love to do college hoops pick'ems. I think its a good idea. We just need some more people to reply.

I think I'll just forget this idea. Sounds too difficult with having to pick popular teams and make sure you get a mix of both low and higher point spreads. Just forget I mentioned this. 😀

I think the reason is that each team plays more than one game per week. Last year I suggested just doing Friday and Saturday games, but the problem with that is that many of the good games can be during the week.

BTW deciding which games to pick is really hard. Remember the week that Skunky didn't post the pick 'em until really late because he was so busy? I decided to get ready to post in case he couldn't. Well, I agonized over it for hours. The pick 'em needs the right mix of popular teams and top 20 teams. One really doesn't want to pick a game where the line is a big number because everyone will pick the same team, so their picks won't matter. Yet there are certain popular teams that people expect to be among the picks. I breathed a sigh of relief when Skunky finally posted that week.

Hey BR, if there were a few that could communicate through pm's on which games to use, it might be possible. But I do not want to cause a very difficult or impossible task. And this sounds like it. We will see what Skunky says or anyone else that may reply. I won't cry if we don't do it. :lol:

Not interested in picking the teams or participating or both??? It won't be happening anyway if only 3 people are interested. And so far it is just Fulmer4Senate, Beach Runner and I. So I am going to just call it off now. There is no point of taking this any farther.

Besides, there are games early in the week most weeks, it would be nearly impossible to set a cutoff time. There could not be an early in the week cutoff time. Wouldn't be enough time to make the picks.

So Beach Runner and Fulmer4Senate, I have decided against doing this. I am forgetting about this pick'em. There will be no college hoops pick'em. Thanks to the two who showed interest. We will just stick with football.

I do! because basketball games start in November. And seeing as Tennessee's football season is shot already, I have no interest in them and will just focus on their basketball this year.

And when I get two replies from people sort of for the idea and one that is totally negative toward the entire idea, it makes me want to forget about it, and I am. So I am closing the door on the subject Skunky.

I feel totally disliked by some on this board and there are only two that have actually met me. I won't suggest anything again. :cry:
