I was at Lenox Square with my cousin yesterday, and a large group of protesters were gathered outside of the J.Crew store claiming that J.Crew uses paper from trees harvested from ancient forests to create its catalogs. The protesters had banners and were harrassing those entering and exiting the store, including my cousin and me. The mall cops were arguing with them and were forcing the protesters to clean up their mess and leave the mall. So I asked one of them who grabbed my arm, from what sources they were receiving their information and facts from, and she could not give me a straight answer, so in disgust I turned around and walked away. They were touching customers leaving and entering the store and most did not appreciate it. One woman pushed a man off of her who was trying to block her from entering the store, I was rather shocked.

It's a campaign on behalf of these folks: http://www.forestethics.org/
They did the same thing outside of Vic Secret stores for a while and Limited Brands finally caved. Check out video of Rev Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping here: http://www.revbilly.com/media/detail.php?id=105

Glad they weren't protesting at the retail store where Beach Jacket works.

:funn:BR, can I use this as my signature line?Sure.;-) It is so me.
I dunno. It gets kinda scary in Designer Shoes on Saturday afternoons when the MARTA crowd comes in to try them on but has no intention (or room on their AMEX) to pay for them. On Saturday afternoons, I hide out on the second floor....yes, you can!!! I can just see BR hiding out in Designer Shoes!!!
If you need to find me on a Saturday and I'm not in SoWal, just call my best buds, Joy in David Yurman and Ginger in fine jewelry. They'll know where I am. And they keep up with Beach Jacket, too. "Where's the 6'2" girl with the 3-inch-heeled Manolo's?" They'll know.

Wow, BJ, you go girl. I never wore heels b/c I was always taller than my boyfriends and I didn't like that. Mr OL is 6'4" so I didn't have that problem when I met him. My feet can't take it anymore anyway...I love it that flats are back in style. Such cute ones out for spring.

Did they let "the element" into the Lenox again? You know "the element" is bad, and having MARTA is what probably started all of this nonsense. :funn:First it was the rednecks, then the blacks, and now the green people! Who's coming to Lenox next? I am outraged! Someone tell everyone but the rich people living in Buckhead to stay out of Buckhead! Don't they understand that Buckhead is for YUPPIES?

I have been a member of InCircle by February every year since it was invented.BR, when you go on the weekend, you need to whip out your car keys so the help can see that you are not with "the element" who rode in on MARTA, and maybe carry a big thick issue of Vogue or Bride, so that they will know that you aren't with the Green people who rode in on MARTA.

Actually, Big D and BJ like to infer their superiority towards little ol' me at 5' 10" sans heels. I love wearing flip-flops and towering over even most males.

Does Mr Dr Beach Runner really like being called, "Big D?"First of all, he *is* big in every sense of the word.I understand the inferiority complex of a midget wanting to be called "Big D," but ...
Secondly, his first name starts with the letter "D."
Thirdly, if you're a 6'8" male, you're used to people saying, "How's the weather up there?" or women flirting with you and saying, "Just how *big* are you?" As far as the latter goes, I'm ready to punch them out. As far as he goes, it probably makes the "Big D" get bigger, if you get my drift.
:funn:
:rofl:Oh, and most people don't ride MARTA because they're into "Green." If you don't know the common interpretation of the MARTA acronym, just pm me. It's definitely not politically correct.

The boy is in school debt up to his legal armpits, BR. He cannot afford diamonds just to get a date.
