Need a refrigerator FAST!!

My Frigidaire refrigerator blew (smoked) its compressor today. I need a used one (white - 36" wide) or someone who can replace a compressor for a P/N 218484361 ASAP. I have a whole bunch of stuff about to spoil and can't spent $1000 on a new one.

Help, I'm thawing and I can't get cold!

Have you tried Craigslist. There is one site in Pensacola and another in PCB.

I found a guy in FWB. He said he could fix me up. I'll put a recommendation up here when/if he fixes it. Thanks to all for the calls.

My refrigerator was fixed by a great guy named Tom McCoy. He lives in Laurel Hill. He was in FWB at a parts store when a friend connected me to him and he agreed to come all the way to Inlet Beach for the repair. My fridge was fixed within an hour, his rate was very reasonable, and he is a very nice guy. I highly recommend him. He can do all large appliance repairs.

When our refrigerator broke earlier today (try to find someone to fix one on Saturday afternoon!) InletBeachDweller saw my desparate plea from Louisiana. She knew Mr. IBD was in town and sent him over to our house to offer a temporary refrigerator to save all of our thawing food. God bless you for the generous gesture! Give a big hug to little IBD for us too. We miss you guys! :wave:

The guy didn't fix my refrigerator after all and charged me $340 for nothing. I rescind the recommendation!!!
