morning, everybody

just got up really late as we just got in from hawaii yesterday in the verrry wee hours of the morning

the brown hawaiian sea turtles are doing just fine and dandy and the green ones are not too far behind where they should be, at least out there - remember to report any turtles you see to the neighborhood turtle watch (and start your own informal watches)

now there are 3 real and 6 temporary rank cat boxes in this house that have to be cleaned!

it never ends, does it?

Hope your procedure goes well, Audie, whatever it's going to be. This is indeed a very fine thread. It's like saying, "don't look behind the couch" and then everyone looks! As for meaningless things, let's see... Hmmm. Ok, I'm cooking a big spaghetti squash in the crockpot. Have never had spaghetti squash before nor have I ever cooked one in the crockpot. Also put away my summer clothes:sosad: and put out my fall/winter clothes). We'll have a few more warm days but I'm assuming our average temps now will be in 60's, probably low 60s (this weekend in the 50s).

Do people who live in SoWal have to rotate summer/winter clothes?

I love spaghetti squash. need to put that on my grocery list! just cut in half lengthwise, rub some olive oil on it, and bake til its nice and soft inside. scoop it out and put some butter and parmesan on it. it is the coolest looking stuff.

why did paula have to mention the clothes thing? I truly need to do this soon. it takes me about a day - reorganizing while going through every single item and filling huge bags full of stuff to go to goodwill.

I am cleaning out closets and getting my fall house decor out of storage sheds and attic.
I aLso didn't realize that I have a kitchen towel and placemat fetish. I have them for all the seasons, each holiday and just no names.
I even found ones shaped like Cabana Joe ones shaped like Hawaiian shorts with monkeys on them. What was I thinking?

Mango, I have this same fetish. It's a sickness really. Was gonna get my fall stuff out today, but it's hard to get in the mood when it's 95 degrees!! mr. dd just drug me all over "downtown Grapevine" shopping for a birthday present for his boss. I saw lots of our kinda stuff...but resisted since I'm on a 6 month plan to reduce "stuff". We're thinking of downsizing in the spring. Yeah, right.

I need to get up and go get the dental floss after the chicken I just ate while gazing at a 15" black box. I stained the entire front of the house today. I quit because I couldn't hold the brush any longer. Random thoughts, I like it.:D
