No kiddin! No loungin' around for me today...got the granddaughters--all 4. Daughter is on her way home from Austin. She's staying with me while her apartment gets ready and she sent her cat to live with a friend for the time she's here. She just called that her cat is dying..she's at the vet's office in Waco, near where her friend lives. I'm waiting to hear the final outcome.

4 granddaughters! that is wonderful... but so sorry about your daughter's cat. it's always so hard to lose a beloved pet.

We went apple picking today with another family -- a yearly tradition. Very funn, and we have photos of the kids at the apple orchard ever since they were 1 and 3 years old... Very cute. They get older in the photos but we exactly the same Ate 3 apples - a Jonathan apple, a McIntosh, and a red delicious. Now off to one of the girls' soccer games. Then dinner and watching that house show tonight that is going to have South Walton on it.

hey, maybe the sowellers can all try to eat apples this week... I had an incredibly delicious apple tart this morning for breakfast. but we should just probably stick with a basic apple, perhaps with peanut butter...

I detest football. but I don't mind it in the background as I read or lounge around. it's just tradition. however, come January I'll be singing a different tune (those announcers are so friggin loud and obnoxious, especially after 4 or 5 months...)

I'm not into football that much either. Don't tell anyone ...people are so football crazy around here...especially after having the #1 team in the nation. :clap_1: Yeah, the games are getting more exciting to watch but normally I wouldn't care that much.:roll: I love watching Dylan play but he has a cold so he didn't play his game today.

Yep, 4 and one grandson. They are delights--all 5! But, they wear me out. Daughter lost her kitty. I just felt to bad that she was alone and driving home, and I couldn't be there to comfort her. But, when she arrives, I will take her for a glass of wine in remembrance of "Allie".

This is a good idea. Will buy some--we have no orchards here in "the hell hole" as Miss Kitty puts it.

Took my son to Chicago this afternoon for a music mentoring workshop led by Yo-Yo Ma and his Silk Road Enemble (Silk Road Chicago Project). About 50 youth sat in a discussion session, & listened to the Ensemble of approx. 10, play some pretty obscure instruments and diverse music. The theme was "getting people to re-imagine something they already know."

Pretty cool to watch Yo-Yo Ma walk around like a regular guy in his Docker's! He is such a nice person with no pretension or arrogance. Truly a sincere teacher & individual.
